On May 19, the Connecticut-based software company goTasker hosted “Tools for Construction Today,” an educational webinar discussing the state of the construction industry
in light of COVID-19. For the duration of the event, goTasker founder Frank Festini met with reputable professionals to gather their perspectives on recent challenges as well as how the industry will evolve in the coming year.

“We spoke with a group of industry leaders at our first webinar,” Festini said. “As goTasker members, they were happy to discuss how their businesses are continuing to succeed and what they think will change our industry in 2020. It was a lot of useful information that can benefit anyone involved in contracting or construction.”

Each of the 11 guest speakers—coming from various areas of the construction industry—discussed how COVID-related social changes have pushed their businesses to alter the way they deliver their services. Many cited digital platforms as the new means to reach customers, whether through online appointment scheduling, customized tech packages and more. And as a company dedicated to making the construction industry more efficient through technology, goTasker couldn’t agree more.

“goTasker is all about using digital methods to connect contractors with their clients,” Festini said. “Our webinar was a good example of how businesses in our industry are adjusting and succeeding by going digital.”

In addition to this common theme, goTasker’s guest speakers also spoke on their predictions for the future of the industry. This included insightful discussions about areas of high population density, an influx of new clients moving to Connecticut from New York, future trends of interior design and more.  goTasker plans on making all of the webinar’s information available on their website as well as hosting future events to keep members of the industry informed about similar topics
